Increasing Realism of Omnidirectional Videos in Virtual Reality

Abstract

The goal of this DFG funded research project (ID 491805996) is an overall more lifelike perception of omnidirectional video in VR display systems. For this purpose, visual perception effects are virtually recreated to increase the realism of the displayed content, and display parameters are adapted to our visual perception to increase the immersive effect of VR displays themselves.
